Brockton Planning Board approves four subdivision and site plans
Planning Board · Meeting of September 1, 2026
Brockton Planning Board unanimously approves four subdivision and site plans, clearing a mill-to-warehouse conversion. The board voted 5-0 on each item, including an ANR subdivision at the former Sampson Funeral Home on Main Street, a three-lot subdivision on East Ashland Street still facing floodplain permitting, an accessory dwelling unit on Lester Road, and a site plan letting GFI Partners demolish the century-old former Footjoy mill at 144 Field Street for a 38,000-square-foot speculative warehouse. GFI representative Haley Palazzola said the company "currently own[s] and manage[s] approximately 20 million square feet of commercial space." Engineer Garrett Horsfall said demolition, pending asbestos abatement, would take 90 to 180 days, with the Brockton Police Department eyeing the vacant building for training beforehand.
No members of the public spoke on any of the four applications.
