Brockton School Committee Refers Six Oversight Items, Names Warrant Signatories

BROCKTON — January 20, 2026 — Brockton School Committee opens 2026 with armed-employee arrest disclosure and six subcommittee referrals. School Police Lieutenant Benaka told the committee at its January 20 meeting that a school department employee was arrested after a firearm was found on their person during a nightly check of the Raymond School parking lot; criminal charges are pending and the employee is on administrative leave.
